Parma Relief Gel

Description

Parma Relief Gel is a topical analgesic formulation combining anti-inflammatory, counterirritant, and soothing agents for quick relief from pain, swelling, and inflammation associated with musculoskeletal conditions.

Composition (per 100 g):

• Diclofenac Diethylamine BP 1.16% w/w (Equivalent to Diclofenac Sodium 1.00% w/w) – nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that reduces inflammation and pain

• Linseed Oil BP 3.00% w/w – anti-inflammatory and soothing oil that helps reduce swelling and stiffness

• Methyl Salicylate IP 10.00% w/w – counterirritant that provides warming relief and reduces muscle/joint pain

• Menthol IP 5.00% w/w – cooling agent that soothes and eases pain perception

• Benzyl Alcohol IP 1.00% w/w – preservative

Uses (Indications):

• Muscle pain

• Joint pain

• Back pain

• Sprains and strains

• Shoulder pain

• Knee pain

Mechanism of Action:

• Diclofenac inhibits prostaglandin synthesis, reducing inflammation, pain, and swelling.

• Linseed Oil contains omega-3 fatty acids with anti-inflammatory properties that improve joint mobility.

• Methyl Salicylate acts as a counterirritant, stimulating nerve endings to create a warm sensation and distract from deeper pain.

• Menthol activates cold receptors in the skin, producing a cooling effect that relieves pain.

Dosage & Administration:

• Apply 3–4 times daily to the affected area.

• Gently rub until absorbed.

• For external use only.

• Use under medical supervision.

Side Effects:

• Mild skin irritation or redness

• Itching or burning sensation

• Allergic reaction (rare)

Precautions:

• Do not apply to broken or irritated skin.

• Avoid contact with eyes, mucous membranes, and open wounds.

• Not for veterinary use.
